I wish everyone a safe and fun filled Canada Day! This is going to be a huge celebration given that it is Canada’s 150th birthday….
Looking forward to all the celebrations especially the fireworks.
Please feel free to post your plans for Canada Day…I love hearing from people and getting ideas
Today we are going to talk about something potentially embarrassing, but hey I have no shame. But I believe this is a cool thing because I talk about stuff A LOT of people have been through, but few are bold enough to talk about let alone post it in a blog for all to see.…

Obsession (Arum) by Jennifer Armentrout. Published May 31, 2013 by Entangled Teen: Embrace. Kindle edition CDN $3.99
Hunter is a ruthless killer. And the Department of Defense has him firmly in their grasp, which usually doesn’t chafe too badly because he gets to kill bad guys. Most of the time he enjoys his job. That is, until he’s saddled with something he’s never had to do before: protect a human from his mortal enemy.
Serena Cross didn’t believe her best friend when she claimed to have seen the son of a powerful senator turn into something… unnatural. Who would? But then she witnesses her friend’s murder at the hands of what can only be an alien, thrusting her into a world that will kill to protect their secret.
Hunter stirs Serena’s temper and her lust despite their differences. Soon he’s doing the unthinkable—breaking the rules he’s lived by, going against the government to keep Serena safe. But are the aliens and the government the biggest threats to Serena’s life… or is it Hunter? (Goodreads Excerpt)
Well what can I say? I’m a big fan of the Lux series so of course I couldn’t wait to dive into this…I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the tension and drama between these two characters. I did want to smack Hunter up the side of his head on a few (ok a lot) of occasions. He is just so arrogant. But when you think about who he is in the story…well yeah I would probably be just as arrogant. top that with Serena who doesn’t take his shit and well she is pretty spunky for a mere human…lol
I don’t want to ruin it so suffice it to say I loved the book! Loved the characters and it was nice to read a spin off of a good series. Oh and no you don’t really need to read the Lux series…but why wouldn’t you?
5 stars for me!
