So I know it’s actually Wednesday and not Tuesday, however I have been remis in my blog for a very long time and I’ve always loved the Teaser Tuesday posts. So I’m using it as my first post back. Hope you will indulge me.

This week’s teaser comes from Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros:

My hackles raise. There’s a sliver of truth in what he’s saying, but I don’t have time to focus on the confusion that is Xaden right now. One screwed up relationship at a time.

This is an amazing book and series. The hype is so worth it! I can’t say enough about this so I will just leave with the teaser above.

Their great-grandmother once claimed that when the de Vincent men fell in love, they did so fast and hard, without reason or hesitation.

And that was absolute bullshit.

I am just starting this third installment of the Mr Mercedes/ Finders Keepers trilogy.  I loved the first 2 books.  I’m a huge fan of Stephen King so can’t wait to get this one going! His books never cease to amaze me…

At least twice a month, I see my Wanted poster flashed on the JumboTrons scattered throughout downtown Los Angeles.  It looks out of place up there.

Danika’s throaty laugh came again, followed by a deeper chuckle.  I could picture her tossing her long black hair over her shoulder, smiling the way all girls smiled at Zayne, and I pushed open the door.

There wasn’t enough oxygen.  The world spun rapidly t the right and she couldn’t breathe.  A blurred vision of dress hems and shin black shoes was the last thing she saw before collapsing on top of the wounded man.

I can’t walk these hallways without remembering the days I spent as a prisoner here, barefoot, pain pulsing inside me every time I moved.  And with that  memory is another one, one of waiting for Beatrice Prior to go to her death, of my fists against the door, of her legs slung across Peter’s arms when he told me she was just drugged.

I hate this place.

It’s cliche to say it’s always darkest before the dawn, but in my case it’s true,  There is a brief window of time, just before I wake, when I am not Me, and she is not Her.  We are together as one, unified in our blissful state of unconsciousness.
